On the afternoon of August 25, 2015, Foreign Minister Wang Yi held telephone talks with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany at request. Both sides spoke positively of the sound communication and cooperation between the two nations on major international and regional issues such as promoting the settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue, and expressed the willingness to keep contacts, hold the first round of China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security at an early date, constantly enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation and promote bilateral relations for greater development.
